Romus Izquierdo
Founder/Co-Owner
Romus is the founder of the gym and local Tarzan knock-off. He has competed in both Powerlifting and Bodybuilding. He is currently competing in Tennis, and has held a career high of #4 in Canada in 2026 for his division. He is sponsored by Dunlop and K Swiss.
Scott Robertston
Co-Owner
Scott is a competitive powerlifter with Provincial, National, and World records. He is currently sponsored by SBD Canada. He joined forces with Jungle Gym in 2019, bringing a broad range of powerlifting knowledge. Scott is always happy to advise other lifters.
Derian Chow
Website & Social Media Manager
Derian started powerlifting after taking a break from basketball and competitive gaming. His favourite lift is the deadlift, and he greatly enjoys working back and legs the most. Nowdays, he enjoys a wide array of different physical activities, while revisiting his passion for competitive gaming and card games.
Abigail Buraga
Social Media Manager
Abigail began her powerlifting journey with interest of compound lifts at commercial gyms. After meeting their partner who powerlifts, she was introduced into the sport and has since competed in 3 powerlifting competitions. Besides being a competitive powerlifter, she is also a registered nurse. During her time as a nursing student, she was often seen studying at the gym in between sets and occasionally taking other members’ blood pressure. While enduring a busy work schedule, training has continued to be a priority in her life contributing to a healthy work life balance.
